The Rebello takes its name from the traditional wooden boats that once carried wine barrels along the Douro River, from the ancient vineyards of the Douro Valley to Gaia. We have revitalized historic buildings, creating a breathtaking space with bold design. Built from 19th-century warehouses that helped shape the city of Porto, this 5-star hotel is located on the banks of the Douro River. It features 103 suites, studios, and elegantly designed spaces, along with a welcoming spa with an indoor pool, a restaurant, and a rooftop bar.
The climate control of rooms and common areas is managed by direct expansion VRF systems, with air renewal provided by air handling units and fans. Domestic hot water (DHW) production is carried out using vacuum tube thermal solar panels, supported by boilers that also provide pool water heating, ambient pool heating, and fresh air heating for the spa and lobby/restaurant air handling units. All control and monitoring of the climate control and DHW systems, as well as lighting, is ensured by a Centralized Technical Management system. In addition to comfort, smoke control systems have been installed in the vertical/horizontal communication routes and parking areas.
