Hotel Casa da Calçada is a historic building in Amarante, part of a centuries-old estate that was recently renovated. It features 35 rooms, including 4 suites overlooking the Tâmega River, offering exceptional and refined comfort. The Michelin-starred kitchens have also been completely renovated and now reopen with a new design. One of the new highlights is the SPA building, which includes a gym, massage rooms, and a full SPA experience.
Air renewal in the building is ensured by fresh air handling units and fans equipped with associated heating coils. The climate control of the spaces is provided by three-pipe direct expansion systems, using ducted indoor units. The implementation of heat pumps and solar collectors for domestic hot water allows for high energy efficiency and low operating costs. In terms of safety, mechanical smoke extraction systems have been installed to ensure the safe evacuation of all hotel occupants in the event of a fire.
